Ouch!! This loss REALLY hurts. Life has a way of beating us up and bringing us down to earth. We never think those precious to us in life will pass before we do. There is a good reason for that and I am reminded of it today. We were best friends while stationed in Germany. At one point we were inseparable. Impossible to count the number of times he knocked on my barracks room dorm and said; "Let's Go." And off we went in his Karmann Ghia. Spent some time with him a few months ago. Wish to God I had spent more time with him over the years. But then there was always tomorrow, which, is now, gone forever. Am flooded with wonderful memories (we went to Paris together) and an awful broken heart. Loved this this guy. RIP George.
